Fitting In!

by COSS Blog Contributor Joann Homen

Every single one of us has done this exact thing and I am certainly guilty of this!

We want so badly for people to accept us, to like us and we try to make that happen.

We might change little things, which can lead to bigger changes, and all of this is fine and dandy, it is when we make major changes. changes NOT TRUE to who we are that is the problem.

I am all for the small changes because often these do indeed make us a better person, but when we compromise who we are to "Fit In", not good.

A good rule of thumb, if you are not hurting anyone with being you or your actions, all is good. Stop trying to please everyone just to fit in.

Instead find your tribe who will accept you for who you are and let you shine in all your brilliance. Trust me when I say that you will find the "right people", the people who allow you to be yourself.

Remember though, it is a two-way-street, and you also have to also allow other people to be the unique person that they are too!
